Natalie Benson

Adjunct Instructor of French

Dr. Natalie J. A. Benson received an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. at the University of Iowa in Modern French Art and Literature. Her research interests include nineteenth- and twentieth-century French painter’s book projects, Modern art, literature, and culture in France, and the study of the book.

She has taught art history, art appreciation, French literature and language, and courses on French history and culture at universities in the United States as well as abroad, including the University of Iowa, the Université de Poiters, France, and Kirkwood Community College.

Benson has also worked outside academia as the Assistant Director of the Gallery at Lincoln Center, New York, and as an Art Auctioneer on cruise ships worldwide.
