Individualized Major and Minor

Drake University offers you the option of creating your own major or minor.

Because World Languages and Cultures does not currently offer majors or minors in languages other than Spanish, some students use this option to create a language-based major or minor. Students who pursue this opportunity are required to work with two advisors, their primary academic advisor and a member of the WLC faculty.

Contact Dr. Pinheiro-Cadd to discuss possibilities for an individualized major or minor.

Objective of the Spanish Minor

Objective One: Students will demonstrate linguistic and culture competence.
Objective Two: Students will demonstrate critical–thinking skills in the Spanish courses taken in fulfillment of the minor’s requirements.
