Accounting Minor

A strong working knowledge of accounting is important to all majors to understand the financial position and earnings of an entity whether you are an entrepreneur starting your own business, a manager in a division responsible for the annual budget and performance of the unit, or just an individual trying to determine what company to invest in through a stock purchase. The accounting minor will expose you to the preparation of the basic financial statements, overview of business processes and systems used to track financial information, costing of products and services, and the preparation of individual federal income taxes.

This minor is available to all Drake students. Requirements can be found on the Drake Catalog.
