Why do you love Drake?
With the “first in the nation” presidential Iowa Caucuses, Drake becomes the epicenter of US politics every four years when it’s time to elect the new President… just ask Anderson Cooper! Students from Politics to Journalism/Mass Communication to Law, Politics, & Society, and many others, can find opportunities to get involved and meet all the candidates. Also, Drake’s unique academic model and J‑Term make it easy for students to double and even triple major while still graduating in four years. Plus, Des Moines has more internship opportunities than there are students to fill them. And finally, Drake’s nearly 99% accomplishment rate means students graduate knowing they are in demand. What’s not to love about Drake?
What is your favorite thing to do in Des Moines?
I love going to the East Village to dine at any of the great restaurants, window-shopping at the various boutique stores, and occasionally meeting friends at any of the many nightclubs. I also love running on the more than 550 miles of bike paths in the area.
