Three interesting things about Tyler:
- I was born in Busan, South Korea and adopted when I was 4.5 months old!
- One of my goals is to visit all 50 states and I have been to 25 so far.
- I was on my high school bowling team and during my junior year I learned to bowl 2-handed. (P.S. we went to state!)
Why do you love Drake?
I love Drake because it offers so many opportunities for you to not only thrive, but succeed. Whether it’s building personal relationships with professors or landing that dream internship. Drake is committed to provide you with the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to flourish at Drake and beyond.
What is your favorite thing to do in Des Moines?
The Iowa State Fair because it offers all the things I love to do in Des Moines: concerts, exhibits, and the best food! It takes place every August for approximately 10 days; there are plenty of opportunities to end the summer and start the semester on a great note!
What is your advice for prospective students?
The college search process can be overwhelming, but it is such an exciting time in your life! Visit the campuses you are interested in and don’t be afraid to ask questions. There are so many people willing to help you through the process so make sure to utilize them. Most importantly, trust your instincts and choose the institution where you feel most at home.
