Mission Statement: The Drake University Alcohol Task Force guides a continuous commitment to educate Drake students, faculty and staff on the health, safety and impact of alcohol and other drugs. Through a collaboration of Drake and community stakeholders, we will plan and implement strategies and evaluate outcomes toward reducing the harmful effects of student abuse of alcohol and other drugs.
Goals: The Task Force has identified its primary goals as:
One: To assess the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) culture.
Two: To reduce high-risk behaviors.
Three: To attract and to retain students who exhibit low risk behaviors.
Meetings: The Task Force aims to meet monthly when classes are in session. If you have questions or ideas for the Task Force such as events or programming, please feel free to join us or to submit information to a Task Force member.
Events: If you have any upcoming educational programming or alcohol-alternative events, please let us know! Contact Kerry King-Jordan at kerry.king@drake.edu.
