Biography

I joined Drake in 2002 as the Director of the Jane Evans Language Center. In 2009 While working with World Languages and Cultures, I helped spearhead the Virtual Language Studies initiative which offered synchronous distance courses in Russian and Chinese. In 2016 I transitioned to Assistant Director of Learning Technologies, which is the role I continue to hold. I have been an adjunct instructor for the School of Education’s Educational Technology course, as well as Computer Ethics for Math and Computer Science. I have been teaching Dean's Hour for John D. Bright College since 2020 and currently work in an advisory capacity for student support. My goal is always to help students learn to be proficient with their use of technology in an instructional setting and beyond. Technology is something our graduates will continue to use throughout their lives. I feel students should have the necessary skills to use it well.
