Assistant Professor of Practice in Statistics
I am an experienced University educator and researcher with more than 25 years of experience in teaching, advising, and research.
My specialties include business statistics, data analytics, management science, and educational research. I have worked on numerous national research grants, and have numerous research publications in Business, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
These include random control trials, data mining, multilevel modeling, structural equation models, survival rate models, and scholarship of teaching and learning in Business, Science, and Engineering Education.
My dissertation was about measuring the success of a National Science Foundation initiative to increase the success rates for community college transfers in STEM.
I am a Licensed Professional Engineer with the B.S. and M.S in Industrial Engineering. My PhD is in Industrial Technology with an emphasis in Educational Statistics.
I am a student-centered professor, a lifelong learner, and a collaborative, inclusive and motivational leader. My primary goal is to see students succeed in their personal and professional endeavors and to successfully master and apply these concepts in business analytics.
The three most important things in my life are my Christian faith, my family (I have two sons, a daughter in law, and three grandchildren) and the numerous colleagues and friends I have had the privilege of sharing life with.
