Drake’s part-time MBA program moves into top 100 after 38 spot jump in ‘U.S. News’ Best Graduate Schools rankings

Drake University’s part-time MBA program within the College of Business and Public Administration moved up 38 spots and broke in to the top 100 programs at #89 in U.S. News & World Report’s 2021 Best Graduate Schools Rankings. Drake’s program is #2 on the list among Iowa universities.

“Our graduate programs continue to rank highly among some of the most elite schools in the nation,” said Dan Connolly, dean of the College of Business and Public Administration. “This latest ranking by U.S. News, coupled with a top 50 ranking among online MBA programs from CEO Magazine, recognizes the extraordinary value of a Drake MBA. The leap forward in rankings is a testament to our high-quality programs, offered in a flexible format, which allows working professionals to advance their careers.”

Drake’s high quality MBA program can be completed entirely online, on-campus, or through a hybrid-style format that blends the convenience of online coursework with the benefits of classroom experience. “This flexibility enables working professionals to earn a degree without sacrificing quality for convenience or personal life for professional development,” said Connolly. Beyond flexibility, graduate programs from Drake’s College of Business and Public Administration provide great value, relevancy, and timeliness through its deep ties to Iowa businesses. These rankings continue to show the College’s response to real-time to industry needs.

The U.S. News part-time MBA ranking analyzed nearly 300 schools and based results on five factors: Peer assessments from business school deans and program directors at part-time MBA programs; average GMAT and GRE scores of entering part-time MBA students; average undergraduate GPA; work experience; and percentage of fall 2019 enrollment that is part-time.

The ranking complements a set of national accolades awarded to Drake’s College of Business and Public Administration. This year, Drake’s online MBA program ranked #47 nationally, and is the only Iowa school listed, in CEO Magazine’s 2020 Global Online MBA Rankings. In addition, the University’sMaster’s of Accountingprogram ranked #71in the nation and #2in Iowa in TFE’s 2020 Best Master’s of Accounting Programs.
