ECC Partner Agencies

Drake University is accepting applications from non-profit organizations to host an Engaged Citizen Corps student for the 2019-2020 academic year. Students are supported academically through the classroom, tying their service work with you into 11 credits.

Engaged Citizen Corps students serve 8-10 hours a week throughout the academic year (300 hours total), are expected to work on projects that help organizations build capacity.

Examples of past projects/tasks:

  • Create content for social media, newsletters, blogs, etc. to raise awareness of organization
  • Develop databases and analyze data
  • Conduct client profiles, conduct oral history projects
  • Develop and facilitate after-school programming
  • Create manuals and handbooks
  • Recruit volunteers for your organization (in 2017-2018, ECC members recruited more than 100 volunteers for their host agencies!)

Partner agencies also have the opportunity to participate in professional development and networking opportunities with other community agencies.
