Professor Koonjbearry has a Doctor of Science in Information Assurance, an MSc in Information Assurance, an MSc in Telecommunication and Networking and the CISSP, SSCP, MCSE, AWS, and COBIT certifications. His graduate work was focused on authentication using digital certificates for e-commerce. Professor Koonjbearry received a patent for the concept on June 5, 2014 (app#20140157394). The invention is currently used to strengthen the authentication process during an e-commerce transaction. His research interest is identity management on public networks.
Professor Koonjbearry teaches Introduction to Cybersecurity and Network Security.
