Partnering with students, faculty, and staff to advance global and cross-cultural initiatives that connect Drake University with the world, the Drake International Grants Review Committee invites applications for funding. Grants are available to assist academic programs, faculty, and staff members in efforts to enhance the global engagement of Drake faculty, staff, and students. Applications may be considered for awards from multiple sources and will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until funds are expended.
Full-time faculty and staff members are eligible to apply for Drake International Grants. Preference will be given to proposals that:
FY20: Grant request applications for activities occuring in FY20 are no longer being accepted. All funds have been allocated.
FY21: Grant request applications for activities occuring in FY21 (July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021) are currently suspended.
Any travel outside of Iowa on behalf of the University is currently suspended, unless deemed critical and approved by the senior administrator in your area. This policy applies to all University-sponsored travel, including international, academic, athletic, conferences, and workshops, and research-related travel, and will continue through at least April 5, 2020. Additionally on March 19, the U.S. Department of State issued a Level 4 Travel Advisory - Do Not Travel for all countries in the world. Given these travel restrictions we are currently suspending Drake International Grants.
