Sporadic email encryption issue resolved

At 1:15 p.m., ITS was made aware of certain email messages being encrypted, resulting in unusual formatting and difficulty when opening and reading them. We discovered and corrected the issue within our email system within a few minutes, but messages that were sent with encryption enabled cannot be reverted to their correct state.

If you received any messages like this, they are safe to open by using the “Read the message” link within the body of the email. Please contact the ITS Support Center at 515-271-3001 or visit service.drake.edu/its if you experience further issues.
