Neil Steinburg is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Drake University. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. He received his B.S. in Mathematics from Brigham Young University.

His research is primarily in abstract algebra, focusing specifically on commutative algebra. His current research involves studying the existence of torsion in the tensor product of modules.
