Welcome! At Drake, we encourage parents to get involved in their students' education and invite you to make the most of your automatic membership in the Drake University Parent Advisory Council.
Parent Advisory Council members and University staff are ready and willing to answer your questions and listen to your ideas about your student’s education. As we look forward to your student joining us on campus, we also look forward to you joining our extended campus community.
The Drake Parent Advisory Council engages in a variety of activities that benefit Drake students and parents, including Parents and Family Weekend events, student bus trips to and from the Chicagoland and Twin Cities areas over academic breaks, and other activities designed to introduce you the Drake faculty and administration.
Student Recruitment Programs: Drake Parent Advisory Council members are actively involved in assisting with student recruitment by hosting and attending home receptions and serving on panel presentations.
The Drake Fund: Each year, the Drake Parent Advisory Council encourages all Drake parents to contribute to The Drake Fund, which provides important support for all the aspects of Drake that most benefit students – from exceptional faculty and academic programs to scholarships and learning materials.
