One of the highlights of a Drake education is the relationships students develop with faculty. With Drake’s faculty-led travel seminars, students can explore the world alongside their professors. Programs are typically between one and three weeks in length, and past program locations have included Uganda, England, Finland, New Zealand, Thailand, and China, to name a few.
If you are finding it difficult to fit a study abroad experience into your program—due to time constraints, financial obstacles, or personal reasons—this may be an excellent option for you. Travel seminars make it possible for any student to study abroad and to break out of their comfort zone with someone they trust.
International and domestic travel seminars typically take place during January Term or summer and are two to four weeks in length. Seminars are generally 3-6 credits and often meet an AOI. Click here to see the current list of Drake's Faculty-led Travel Seminars.
