Ibrahim Khalaylih

Mr. Khalaylih received a BA in Geography with a minor in Sociology from the University of Jordan, and an MA in Geography from the University of Jordan as well.  He also went for a graduate college in Computer Science at the University of Maryland Easter Shore.

Mr. Khalaylih is a Jordanian - Arabic native speaker who, driven by his love of teaching the Arabic language and cultures, established in 2016 the Middle East Learning & Cultural Center (MELCC) in Ames, IA.

MELCC offers Arabic language education for all ages and levels as well as volunteers to teach Arabic workshops at the Ames Public Library to the public.

Mr. Khalaylih has been teaching Arabic at the college level since 2016 and joined the World Language and Cultures department at Drake in the fall of 2018.
