An unlimited number of $1,000 Phi Theta Kappa scholarships will be awarded to qualified community college transfer students who currently hold active membership. The $1,000 Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is given in addition to a Presidential Transfer Award leading to a total award of $17,000 (Spring 2018) or $19,000 per year (Fall 2018).
A minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and 45 transferable credit hours are preferred.
The scholarship is awarded prior to first time enrollment and is renewable for a second year.
Phi Theta Kappa verification of current membership by a chapter adviser is required. Part-time students and students with previous bachelor's degrees are not eligible.
Awards are based on a variety of criteria depending on the type of scholarship and are not based on financial need. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL SCHOLARSHIPS ARE RENEWABLE IF REQUIRED ACADEMIC STANDING AND GRADE POINT AVERAGE ARE MAINTAINED. For students entering the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences merit aid is available only through the fourth year of the six-year program.
