Training

Shop Safety

Shops are vital in the process of completing various functions on campus, including serving as teaching tools and places for students to complete projects. Work associated with shops include model-building, carpentry, electric/electronics, metal working, and more. All of these activities present their own sets of risks and hazards that users have to be aware of.

As such, EHS has developed a comprehensive training program to manage the hazard associated with working in various shops. This training will also guide compliance to OSHA and other guiding regulations concerning shops. EHS urges all personnels working in shops to be aware of shop safety measures to ensure continued safety and compliance to guidelines.
