MS in Applied Behavior Analysis

Drake University’s Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program will provide you experience and expertise in the scientific study of learning and behavior. Our comprehensive program provides intensive classroom instruction along with supervised practicum experiences providing eligibility to sit for the nationally recognized Behavior Analyst Certification Board exam.

By teaching you how to understand, predict, and improve socially significant behavior, our program prepares you for a career working with children and adults with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities in clinical, school, and residential settings.

In Drake’s Master’s and Certificate programs in ABA, you develop the skillset to:

  • Assess, prevent, and treat challenging behavior (e.g aggression, self-injury)
  • Develop interventions and recommendations to increase adaptive behavior and address skill deficits
  • Create and implement programming to teach skills, including communication, pre-academic, academic, social vocational, and independent-living skills
  • Supervise and train others, including caregivers, teachers, and school personnel
  • Collaborate with colleagues, other professionals, families, and teachers

This BCBA credentialing can boost your career whether you just graduated with your undergraduate degree or have been working in the field for years.
