Scholarships

At Drake, we offer financial aid that is designed to reward your academic achievement and also to help meet your family’s level of financial need. You may find that you qualify for both merit-based and financial need-based awards. We make every effort to provide the most complete financial aid package to you in your first award notice.

MCSCC Scholarships

The Midwest Chapter Society of Cosmetic Chemists is offering in 2016 multiple $1,000 scholarship stipends to students exhibiting excellence in either coursework or research.

This year the committee is making available 2 UNDERGRADUATE scholarships in honor of "Barbara J. Morley" Woman's Scholarship and "Gus S. Kass" Men's Scholarship as well as 1 GRADUATE studnet scholarship.

NHHF - National Hispanic Health Foundation
The National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF), affiliated with the Robert R. Wagner Graduate School of Public Services, New York University, will award 20 scholarships to graduate dental, medical, health policy, pharmacy, and public health school students and BA and above nursing students. Eleven scholars will receive a 2 year scholarship for $5,000 per year. Nine scholars will receive a 1 year scholarship for $2,000.

The applications can be accessed on the NHHF website www.nhmafoundation.org until the deadlines – scholarship application due October 14, 2016.

Travel Funding/Awards

The Walbridge Medical
Mission Trip Travel Award

The Walbridge Medical Mission/International Community Service Trip Travel Award is supported by Mary Walbridge, PH'74, and exemplifies her commitment to community service and medical missions, higher education, as well as to future generations of Drake pharmacy students.

Criteria for Receiving the Travel Award:

1)  Travel on a medical mission or international community service trip for which academic credit is not being received.
2)  Able to obtain a receipt for travel expenses incurred.
3)  Approval of National Meeting/Travel Form (see www.drake.edu/cphs/forms)
4)  Upon approval and completion of trip, completion of the travel reimbursement form (information sent following submission of the National Meeting/Travel Form).

The amount of the award is expected to be approximately $500, depending on the number of individuals requesting travel support.
