Application materials required for an admission review include:
Complete and digitally sign our online Application for Admission and pay the $50 application fee.
The application fee is waived for Drake alumni and current students.
A current professional résumé or curriculum vitae is required. Please include information regarding current and/or past employment history as well as professional development and internships completed.
A typed, one-page essay is required. The essay should provide details about how a graduate education at Drake University will help you reach your academic and career goals.
Two letters of recommendations are required. When selecting your references, choose individuals such as professors and employers who can attest to your potential for success in a graduate program.
You will enter the names and email contacts for your two references into the online application. Your references will be contacted electronically with directions for submitting their letters of recommendation on your behalf.
Official transcripts from every college or university previously attended are required. Any college credit earned, even while in high school or at a community college, must be accounted for before your application can be reviewed.

An official entrance exam score from one of the following exams is required. For details regarding testing locations and registration, please click on the links provided.
*Please note that LSAT scores are only accepted from current Drake University Juris Doctor students.
The entrance exam is automatically waived if you meet one of the three conditions below.
You may apply for an entrance exam waiver if you meet all of the conditions below. Your waiver request will be reviewed by the graduate committee before approval is granted.
