Town Hall: Global Engagement at Drake

Annique Kiel, Executive Director of Global Engagement and International Programs, will deliver a comprehensive presentation on Drake's global engagement strategy on Tuesday, Nov. 15th at 10:30-11:30 am. 

Visiting Scholar Presentation

Dr. Robert Pichler is the Director of the International Business Consultancy program at Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt, Drake's partner institution in Austria. He will give a public lecture titled The European Union in 2022: Key Challenges of our Time on Tuesday, Nov. 15th at 2:00-3:15 pm as part of the Center for Global Citizenship fall speaker series. 

U.S.-China Symposium

Hosted by Terry Branstad, former U.S. Ambassador to China and current Ambassador-in-Residence at Drake, the symposium will convene experienced professionals, academics and other experts to speak on various topics related to China and U.S.-China relations, with the aim to provide a platform for multiple viewpoints and opportunities for candid discussion. Featuring award-winning journalist John Pomfret, author of The Beautiful Country and the Middle Kingdom: America and China, 1776 to the Present. Sessions will take place throughout the day on Thursday, Nov. 17th. 

IE Week Forum: China

The inaugural IE Week Forum will take place on Friday, Nov. 18th at 8:00-11:15 am. The forum will have a thematic focus on China. Students and faculty members from Drake and other select institutions will present on research and other projects related to China. This mini-conference will provide an opportunity for students and faculty across disciplines to present their work and engage in meaningful dialogue.
