Open forum for current students on May 20

The SJMC dean’s office and faculty have been fielding questions from students regarding planning for the future and what the next academic year will look like. We’re all here to help you make the decisions that are right for you. And, if you’re available, we would love for you to join us for a video SJMC Conversation on Wednesday, May 20, 1-2 p.m. CDT to further plan for Fall 2020. We want to listen to your experiences and brainstorm ways we can work together no matter where we are. We are so proud of you, and we look forward to building the future with you.

Check your Drake email for a message from the dean’s office on May 11 for instructions on how to join the meeting. If you need help or have any questions, contact Dean Kathleen Richardson at kathleen.richardson@drake.edu.

Federal grants available for COVID-19 expenses

Drake has announced that current students are eligible for up to $6,000 in emergency funding to defray expenses incurred because of the pandemic. According to the University’s announcement, “These grants can only be used for student expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care and child-care expenses.”
