About the Division of Student Affairs

As a student at Drake University, you are more than just a number—you’re an important part of the Drake family. Through a variety of departments and programs, the Division of Student Affairs aims to help all students enjoy a successful and meaningful college experience. We strive to ensure that your emotional, mental, and social needs are met through health services, residence life, student involvement, and conflict response.

As part of the Drake family, we all have a responsibility to one another to create a safe and respectful environment. Beyond providing the resources to make this environment possible, the Dean of Students Office, which oversees the Division of Student Affairs, works to resolve conflict and facilitate the disciplinary process for students who behave in a way not in accordance with student conduct policies.
