Program Details

Early Childhood (Pre-K-K)

The Early Childhood Endorsement (103) program prepares individuals to teach pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students.  It includes preparation to teach all relevant subject matter. 

Early Childhood with Emphasis on Special Education or Unified (Pre-K-K)

The Unified Endorsement (100) program focuses on the design of educational services to pre-school and school age children with special learning needs or disabilities. This program prepares individuals to teach such students.

This endorsement is available in combination with the following degree programs. 

This endorsement can also be added as a second endorsement area.

In an announcement made by Senator Tom Harkin, the U.S. Department of Education Rehabilitation Long-Term Training program awarded Drake University a major grant to increase the number of individuals trained in providing all areas of rehabilitation services to people with disabilities.
