Sydni brings more than a decade of experience in higher education student affairs to her role. She is passionate about meeting students where they are, supporting their individual needs, and helping them develop the skills and confidence to thrive both academically and personally.

Outside of work, Sydni enjoys family time, watching her kids learn and grow, bike riding, and spending summer days at the lake.

Michelle Laughlin
Director, Disability Services

Michelle has spent her life encouraging others to achieve to be the best that they can be despite their challenges.  With her educational and personal background she helps students make the most of their educational experience.

Nikki Krabbe 
Student Support Coordinator

Nikki worked in K-12 education before arriving at Drake. She was a school counselor and classroom teacher. She has a passion for helping students find success and build systems to maintain that success. In her free time, Nikki likes to read, work on craft projects, and travel.

Advice to students:  Build a support system and don't be afraid to lean on it.
