The Employers Mutual Casualty (EMC) Insurance Center for Insurance and Risk Management provides support for the advancement of knowledge about insurance, risk management, and actuarial science. Established many years ago, the center emphasizes the connections among students, faculty, and working professionals in industry, government, and professional educational organizations. Examples of recent collaboration include hosting the Iowa Actuaries Day and the Archie R. Boe Lecture Series.
The center directly supports the Employers Mutual Distinguished Professor of Insurance and the Robb B. Kelley Distinguished Visiting Professor of Risk Management and Actuarial Science.
