Imagine building a health clinic in Uganda, studying in London, or interning with a multinational company in China. You can make these experiences and more a reality when you study abroad. In an increasingly global marketplace, having experience in or knowledge of another culture is a valuable asset. At Drake, you can study abroad for a semester, academic year, summer, or January Term in more than 70 countries.
We highly recommend working with to find an approved program that best suits your needs personally, professionally, and academically. Drake International also maintains a list of approved programs. Visit "Where Can I Go?" to research approved education abroad programs.
The School of Actuarial Science offers a January Term course, Risky Business: European Roots of Actuarial Science, bringing students to London for a hands-on history lesson. Students can also travel to Santiago, Chile, for the course, Families, Lifestyles & Annuity Tables: Why Corporations are Interested in Chile; get a peek into this fascinating experience on the 2016 group's blog. More information can be found on the J-Term website.
