
Jazlin Coley
Director of the Crew Scholars Program
Jazlin Coley is the Director of the Crew Scholars Program at Drake University. Prior to moving into this role, she served as the Director of Equity and Inclusion. She holds a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from Drake, along with a minor in Psychology and a concentration in Leadership.

Terrance Pendleton
Associate Provost for Campus Equity and Inclusion
Dr. Terrance Pendleton is an the Associate Provost for Campus Equity and Inclusion and an Assistant Professor of Mathematics. He has been with Drake University since 2016. His primary research area is in applied mathematics, particularly mathematical modeling and partial differential equations. He received his Ph.D in Applied Mathematics from North Carolina State University. Recently, he has had a focus on equity in the mathematics classroom through his work as a Center for Inquiry and Equity in Mathematics fellow. His current NSF funded research project focuses on the impact of inviting early college students to be mathematicians with the goal of increasing the visibility of underrepresented populations in STEM and in particular mathematics. Dr. Pendleton is a highly beloved teacher and mentor. In recent years, he has served as a Crew Faculty Mentor and participated in several Crew faculty dialogues. He is looking forward to working closely with the incoming Crew class of 2025.
