Dr. Sheller is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science. He obtained his BS in Mathematics with a minor in Biology from Iowa State University. Since graduating with a PhD in Mathematics and graduate minor in Physics from Iowa State University, he has been a post-doc at Shanghai University, University of Pittsburgh, and in the Cognitive and Data Science Lab at Rutgers University - Newark.

His research includes quantum control with applications to quantum computing and quantum information, the geometric underpinnings of reinforcement learning, and small projects in number theory and biomedical systems.
