Next Top Entrepreneurial Competition

Drake’s Next Top Entrepreneur competition enables student participants to develop, practice, and
polish entrepreneurial skills for the future. While previous experience in entrepreneurship may be
helpful, prior experience is not a defining factor of the competition. Creativity and the ability to
present oneself well are two primary factors on which the contestants will be judged. All students
have the ability to participate and excel in this competition, regardless of their experience level or
knowledge of entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurial Summer Internships

The Entrepreneurial Leadership Internship program strives to partner Drake pharmacy
students with pharmacy entrepreneurs working in companies around the country,
including those developing new pharmacy practice or business models or engaging in
innovation.
The goal of this internship program is to help future practitioners initiate change within the
profession and formulate strategic plans for their practices, with the following objectives:
             1) Involve students in a program that will allow them to witness and develop entrepreneurial
leadership in the community pharmacy sector.
             2) Prepare student pharmacists for future entrepreneurial leadership positions within the
                 community practice environment.
             3) Provide participating community pharmacies with exposure to and opportunity for
                 potential recruitment of emerging entrepreneurs.
