Annual Laboratory Safety Training

This training includes Chemical Hazards and Protective Measures as well as Emergency Preparedness and Response.  You will need to complete this training once per Academic Year while you are at Drake University.  This training is required for all students enrolled in laboratory classes or working in laboratories and clinical areas. It must be completed initially before laboratory work begins and thereafter on an annual schedule.

Once this course in completed, certificates will be saved to the site. Students will not be able to access their own certificates, so ensure names are capitalized and spelled correctly

How to complete student lab safety training:

  1. Select course “Laboratory Safety”
  2. Advance through all topics until the quiz at the end
  3. Upon passing the quiz, it will prompt you to input your name and select which term you are taking the class
  4. Please ensure your name is spelled correctly, as this is how your completion is tracked. You will not receive an email/certificate yourself for it
