Drake Tuition Waiver

Drake faculty and staff, as well as their spouse/partner and eligible dependent children, may qualify for the Drake Tuition Waiver benefit.

The Tuition Waiver is tuition-specific (see Cost Specificity of Awards). The Tuition Waiver cannot be used in combination with other Drake-funded tuition-specific scholarships or grants. If a student receives government or outside tuition-specific awards, the Tuition Waiver may need to be reduced so that the sum of all tuition-specific awards does not exceed the student’s actual cost of tuition. The Tuition Waiver does not cover housing or food, fees or other University charges. It is not available for travel courses or study abroad.

To apply, the employee must complete the Tuition Waiver Form available here for each term of enrollment. Students pursuing an undergraduate degree at Drake are also required to complete the FAFSA prior to July 1 (preceding the academic year of enrollment). Students interested in seeking a waiver of this requirement can follow the instructions outlined in the Tuition Waiver Policy.
