Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia is the oldest and largest men's fraternal society of music in the United States. This organization is open any Drake University student, regardless of their major. The only requirements are that students identify as male/masculine, and have a love for music. Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia is a great way to get more involved within the Department of Music, such as participate in multiple fundraisers and events (i.e., Practice-a-thon and The Mills Music Mission [national philanthropy]).

Membership in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia will not prevent students from joining other fraternities/organizations at Drake University.

Key points:

  • Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia's chief purpose is to develop fraternity in the world of music.
  • The highest standards in music are upheld in the organization.
  • Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia inspires musicians to be better men.
  • The organization is a movement for the betterment of mankind.
  • The organization champions the power of music.

For more information, please visit the National Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia website or the Alpha Beta Chapter website. Students are also welcome to follow @drakesinfonia on Instagram to see further updates and to get to know more about the current brothers of the chapter.
