Drake University Community Chorus

The Drake University Community Chorus is a non-auditioned ensemble open to all Drake students, faculty, and staff, as well as interested singers in the Des Moines area.

The ensemble typically consists of 100+ singers and rehearses weekly on Tuesdays from 6:30pm-8:00pm. There is no fee for membership and no audition, although singers purchase their own music. The Chorus performs at the end of each semester and sings both major choral/orchestral works and a variety of smaller works of many styles. The ensemble is conducted by Dr. Eric Barnum, Director of Choral Activities.
