Model EU provides participants with the opportunity to debate issues of global importance, gain valuable negotiating skills, learn how the E.U. operates as a supranational organization, and experience the challenges of reaching agreement among diverse nations.
Since 1996, students at Drake have participated in the Midwest Model European Union simulation in Indiana, where they compete with schools in the Midwest region. This program is one of the best-known European Union simulations in the United States, and Drake students have won both top individual and best delegation awards.
