The Student Services Center is in the Olmsted Student Center – we primarily assist with Bulldog Bucks, ID Cards, Parking, and Student Employment Paperwork.
Bulldog Bucks are funds that can be used for on campus spending at the Drake Bookstore, the Drake Dining facilities (including our Starbucks), participating off campus merchants, (including GrubHub), Drake Postal Operations, or at campus printers. If you would like to add Bulldog Bucks to your student’s account, you can do so with a guest deposit – students love to receive these “gift cards” to the Drake community! This is an optional account, funds can be added at any time in any amount, and funds are carried forward from year to year while your Bulldog in enrolled as an active student.
If your student needs a parking pass for the summer or next academic year, they can be purchased online in the myDrake portal at a later date – spring passes are currently available to purchase. If you need assistance figuring out which pass to purchase, please check out the parking lot color designations on the campus map. Resident students should purchase a Blue Resident pass. Commuter students have options based on what part of campus they would like to park in.
If you or your student have a parking ticket to pay, and would like an invoice emailed to you for online payment, please contact studentservices@drake.edu. We have begun invoicing online as much as possible, and are happy to convert your amount due into an online invoice to pay.
If your student has a campus job this spring, they will complete HR paperwork at the Student Services Center prior to their first shift. Please make sure they have either a passport, birth certificate or social security card with them in order to complete this paperwork – they must have the original documents, not copies.
The Student Services Center is open 8am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday. Feel free to stop by, reach out via phone (515-271-2000), or email us (studentservices@drake.edu) if you need any assistance.
