Drake Recreation

Drake Recreational Services have had a busy start to the semester. During welcome week, we hosted an event for all First Year Students to come enjoy the Bell Center. We had a hip hop class going, various prize give aways and lots of games. Students had a great time recreating together. During the second week of classes we hosted Rec Fest in Helmick Commons were students could learn more about our facilities and programs as well as participate in Log rolling, pop-a-shot and other games. Intramurals are rolling with a sand volleyball tournament, volleyball and soccer.  Tennis and racquetball will start soon. Group Exercise classes have been very popular with the most attended classes being yoga. We also have had lots of students attending our Hip Hop class. We are excited to see so many students back in our facilities and finding time to recreate.
