Get Involved with the Local Community

There are many opportunities for your student to get involved in the local Des Moines community while at Drake! To find volunteer opportunities, students can create an account at www.drake.edu/dugood and search for opportunities. If they know they want to get involved but are not quite sure where to start, the Community Engagement Peers in the Office of Community Engaged Learning would love to meet with them 1-1 to explore interests, skills and passions. Finally, our office will be hosting a workshop on how and why to include service experience on their resume. (Hint: Employers want to see it!). This will be Sept. 23 and students can register here.
