Student Services Center News

The Student Services Center is in the Olmsted Student Center – we primarily assist with Campus Identification, Parking, Bulldog Bucks, and Student Employment Paperwork.

Mobile Drake ID’s Now Available!
We are excited that we were able to roll out a mobile Drake ID this semester!   Students can now add their Drake identification to their cell phone or smart watch for easier access.  Drake is the first school in Iowa to utilize a Mobile Credential, and judging by the amount of students that have already added it to their account this semester, they seem to be pleased with this new convenience.  We’ll be phasing out physical ID cards over the next couple years, but your student is welcome to continue using both forms of identification for now.

Bulldog Bucks
We have a new merchant available for students to use their Bulldog Bucks at this semester!  We are happy to welcome Sprocket’s to our list of off campus merchants.  Loading Bulldog Bucks to your student’s ID cards is a great way to give them access to funds that can be used in the Drake neighborhood or on GrubHub – students love to receive these “gift cards” to the Drake community!

Remember - Bulldog Bucks are a little different than Dining Dollars – Dining Dollars are tied to their meal plan, and can only be used for ON CAMPUS dining. Bulldog Bucks are funds that can be used at the Drake Bookstore, the Drake Dining facilities (including our Starbucks), participating off campus merchants, in the GrubHub app, at Drake Postal Operations, or at campus printers.  This is an optional account - funds can be added at any time in any amount, and funds are carried forward from year to year while your Bulldog is enrolled as an active student.

Parking Citations
If you’ve heard that your student has acquired a parking citation while they were on campus, those can be paid in our office.  Your student is welcome to stop by and pay with a debit/credit card, or we are happy to send them an invoice via email with our Clover payment processing system.  Please note that receiving multiple citations can result in holds on their account or towed vehicles.

We are happy to help with any other questions or concerns you have about our services!  Feel free to stop by, reach out via phone (515-271-2000), or email us (studentservices@drake.edu) if you need any assistance.
