Square Raffle: Join us on Tuesday for a riveting time! Square applicants will know if they got a square through a raffle style event.

Paint Fight

Prelays Silent Disco

• Where: Helmick Commons (parents hall if weather) 

Street Painting 

• Date: Friday, April 18th - Monday, April 21st 
• Time: Friday, 9am - 3pm, Saturday, 12:30 - 5pm, Monday, 9am - 5pm 
• Where: Painted Street 

Street Painting is one of Drake’s biggest traditions during Relays! Organizations will gather at Painted Street to paint their own interpretation of Drake’s Relays theme for this year. All student clubs/organizations assigned to a square are responsible for purchasing their own paint. Please see the attached pages to learn more about how your club/organization can apply for a square. 

Drake Road Races and Cheer Challenge 

• Date: Saturday, April 19th 
• Time: 7:30am-12:00pm 
• Where: 25th Street from Forest Ave to University Ave 

The 2025 Drake Road Races will be held outside Drake Stadium and finish on the Blue Oval. To celebrate the athletes, student clubs/organizations can sign up in groups of 3 participants minimum to cheer on 5k and wok runners. The organization that is selected in a vote by the runners will be awarded $500 by Drake Athletics. Organizations are encouraged to select a theme for their group. 

Beautiful Bulldog Contest: Stop by at the Knapp Center for the 46th Annual Beautiful Bulldog Contest to see some very cute bulldogs!

T-Shirt Screen Printing: Stop by Pomerantz Stage to print Relays t-shirts with this year’s logo! DEAL will also be there to add the logo to other merchandise with vinyl rather than paint.

Grand Blue Mile: This year marks the 16th year of the Grand Blue Mile presented by Wellmark Blue Cross Blueshield.

Relays Carnival

Foam Pit Party

Spikeball: Come participate in the Spikeball Tournament at the Bell Center! Through a collab with rec services, students can sign up with teams on the Drake Rec app. Sign-ups are open now until 24 hours before the event.

Drake Relays Concert: Drake University’s largest student-run event of the year will take place on Friday, April 26th at 8pm. Come to Forest Avenue, outside Drake Stadium, to listen to this year’s Relays Artists!
