Frances Rockey began working at Drake in the Fall of 2012, teaching Beginning German I and German Practical Speaking and Writing.

Frau Rockey received her B.A. in German from Grinnell College and her M.A. in German and Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has attended numerous seminars in Germany related to culture, language and pedagogy and has traveled extensively in German-speaking Europe, including the former GDR (East Germany). She taught many years at the secondary level and led 11 exchanges with partner schools in Hamburg and Lindenberg im Allgäu.

Drake will host 25 young African leaders this summer for an intensive six-week Fellowship program focusing on business and entrepreneurship. The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
