Choose from more than 140 majors in six colleges and schools: College of Arts and Sciences, Zimpleman College of Business, School of Education, School of Journalism and Mass CommunicationCollege of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and the Law School.

With so many options, it’s easy to find your niche. You can also pursue interdisciplinary concentrations, design a personal academic plan, combine majors, engage in independent studies or research, or create your own major to meet your academic and career goals.

Elementary teaching endorsements: art, early childhood, English/language arts, health, mathematics, reading, history, science, special education (2nd endorsement only), social studies, theatre and communications studies, unified (early childhood with emphasis on special education), and English as a second language (K-12 endorsement). Add-on endorsements are also available for middle school (6-8) and coaching (K-12).

Secondary teaching endorsements: art, all business, English/language arts, English/rhetoric/theatre (English emphasis), theatre/rhetoric/English (theatre emphasis), journalism, English/speech-theatre/journalism, speech/theatre, reading (2nd endorsement only), economics (second field only), secondary mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry, Earth science, general science, physical science, all science (5-8, 7-12), world history, American history, American history/American government, all social studies, world languages: Spanish, French, German, special education (Instructional Specialist I), English as a second language (K-12). Add-on endorsements are also available for middle school (6-8) and coaching (K-12). 

While only one teaching endorsement is required with an elementary or secondary license, two or more endorsements are recommended for maximizing students’ flexibility and variety of placement in their professional careers.

Students may combine education credentials and the BSE degree with other majors, minors and concentrations.
