Neighborhood Relations

The Drake neighborhood is one of only a few neighborhoods in Des Moines that boasts an institution of higher learning within its boundaries. At Drake University, we seek to be an anchor, building a more equitable and inclusive community and a destination, offering opportunities for cultural engagement, athletic events, and lecture series. Drake University is an active member of the Drake Neighborhood Association and the Des Moines West Side Chamber of Commerce.
