Constitutional Law Center Academics

The Constitutional Law Center promotes study of the U.S. Constitution and related topics.

Curriculum

Students can take a variety of courses related to constitutional law, including Constitutional Law I and II, Constitutional Litigation, Constitutional Theory, First Amendment Seminar, and more.

Certificate

The Constitutional Law Center offers the Constitutional Law and Civil Rights Certificate, which builds on the center's commitment to research and symposia in the areas of consitutional law and civil rights. Students must take 21 credits of coursework to complete the certificate.

Lecture Series

Each year, the Constitutional Law Center hosts the nation's leading constitutional scholars on campus as part of various lecture series, including the Constitutional Law Symposium, Distinguished Lecture Series, and Judge James Grant Iowa Constitution Lecture Series.

Students have special access to these constitutional law scholars, judges, and political leaders who come to Drake. Many distinguished guests hold informal gatherings and small group discussions limited to law students and faculty.
