Undergraduate/Pre-professional Programs

Applicants for the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences degree, or one of our pre-professional tracks (Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Occupational Therapy or Pre-Athletic Training) should complete an undergraduate application through Drake University's Office of Admission.

Master of Athletic Training

Admission to the Drake University Master of Athletic Training (MAT) degree is based on academic and personal qualifications that are necessary for successful, competent practice as an athletic trainer. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of the fit between their personal goals and the mission and goals of the MAT program.  Interested applicants can begin the application process by completing an ATCAS application and submitting the required $70 Drake application fee.

Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD)

Admission to the Drake University Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) degree is based on academic and personal qualifications that are necessary for successful, competent practice as an occupational therapist. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of the fit between their personal goals and the mission and goals of the OTD program.  Interested applicants can begin the application process by completing an OTCAS application and submitting the required $70 Drake application fee.

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

Admission to the Drake University Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree is based on academic and personal qualifications that are necessary for successful, competent practice as a pharmacist. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of the fit between their personal goals and the mission and goals of the PharmD program.  Interested applicants can begin the application process by completing a PharmCAS application.  Students enrolled in the Pre-Pharmacy program at Drake should refer to the the Drake Direct PharmD requirements for more information.

Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN)

Admission to the Drake University Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) Program is based on academic and personal qualifications that are necessary for successful, competent practice as a nurse. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of their fit between their personal goals and the mission and goals of the ABSN program. Prior education, work experience, honors, awards, service to others, and leadership activities are also considered in the admission process. Prior shadowing in a nursing setting is helpful, but not required. Interested applicants can begin the application process by submitting a NursingCAS application and completing the required Drake-specific questions. Students enrolled in the Pre-Nursing program at Drake should refer to the Drake Direct ABSN requirements for more information.
