Placement Audition and Theory Test

Placement Auditions will be held Sunday from 7:00 pm-9:00 pm for placement within various small combos.  Auditions should last about 5-10 minutes to demonstrate technique, improvisation, and musicality in order to be placed in a combo best suited for each student.  Age, past experience with judges, or anything beyond the performance in the audition will not be factored into the combo placement. Details for the specific jazz tunes and scales required for the placement audition are coming soon. Check back to be best prepared!  

Theory test will be administered for the students to be placed in small groups according to their foundation of theory skills for theory and improvisation classes.
