Drake University Community School of Music provides unique opportunities to nurture students musical development through masterclasses or workshops for all ages and levels beyond private lessons.

 Mini Music Explorers

Mini Music Explorers Pre-K and Early Elementary General Music Class

Designed for the parent/caregiver & child to explore music, through singing, moving, and playing a variety of instruments.  A musically rich environment helps develop young children’s singing, movement and understanding of music. It also develops a sense of belonging, awareness, control of their emotions, and motor and language skills.

Fall Session = 4 weeks for $65                                                                             

Saturdays 10:00-10:40 a.m. for Ages 3-5 register here
Saturdays 11:00-11:40 a.m. for Kindergarten & 1st grade register here
November 5th, 12th, 19th, and December 3rd, 2022

Summer Voice Intensive for Young Singers

Drake University Community School of Music invites students ages 14 and older to participate in a Summer Voice Intensive for Young Singers, June 18-23, 2023. This week-long daytime camp provides students with voice lessons, coachings, classes, and performance opportunities to develop their voices, build confidence in performance, and prepare for auditions. Students will get the opportunity to work one-on-one with Drake Voice Faculty as well as other Drake Music Faculty throughout the week.  The camp will culminate into a performance for friends and family to attend.
