Spring 2026 At-Large Candidates

You may vote for four candidates. Please note, according to the Faculty Senate Rules and Regulations, only one senator may serve from any one college or school. While you are certainly free to vote for several candidates within one unit, only the top candidate from that unit may be declared a winner.

Sandy Henry SJMC Sandy has extensive experience on faculty senate and exec and recently led a successful provost search.
Alejandro Hernandez Zimpleman As a former dean and member of the board of trustees, I bring a broad and informed perspective to the development of educational policy as well as to the execution of shared governance at Drake. My decades of leadership experience in the private sector can also provide the faculty senate with experience in fostering effective institutional cultures and building frameworks for meaningful and measurable outcomes.

William Klipec A&S - Natural Sciences As we recalibrate our institution to challenging economic pressures, it is essential that the faculty engage vigorously to assure a future for Drake that reasserts academic values and traditions in crafting a bold mission for the future of the University that is collegial and productive for faculty and students. I offer my voice and over 50-years of experience as a full-time faculty member to that effort.

Tonia Land SOE Dr. Land has years of leadership experience at both the department and university levels. She is currently the chair of the Teaching and Learning department in the School of Education. 
Yasmina Madden A&S- Humanities I’ve served on faculty senate once before, and I found it rewarding and informative. I would be happy to serve again.
Heidi Mannetter Zimpleman   
Ashley Murray CPHS Dr. Murray is a dedicated professional and upcoming leader within the college of pharmacy & health sciences. She would represent the concerns of faculty across the university in a respectful, responsible, and comprehensive fashion.
Claire Muselman SOE/Zimpleman I bring a uniquely cross-campus perspective grounded in collaboration, student impact, and shared governance. I teach across the Zimpleman College of Business, School of Education, and Arts & Sciences, while serving on the Women and Gender Studies Strategic Advisory Board. I intentionally build bridges across disciplines, including leading a J-Term experience with Environmental Studies and completing Journalism coursework to strengthen my teaching and communication. My work centers on connecting faculty voices, supporting student success, and ensuring decisions reflect the full Drake academic ecosystem. I approach Senate service with a collaborative mindset, strong institutional awareness, and commitment to thoughtful, transparent governance.
